Dau Kalyan Singh College of Agriculture and Research Station, Bhatapara (DKS CARS Bhatapara) is a constituent College of Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Raipur was inaugurate by Dr Raman Singh, Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh State on 01/10/2012 and College Administrative Building was inaugurated by Shri Rahda Mohan Singh, Central Agriculture Minister, Govt. of India, on 27/02/2017. The first batch for the award of B.Sc. (Ag) was admitted during the academic session 2012-13. DKS CARS Bhatapara offering B.Sc. (Ag) Hons and M.Sc. (Ag) Agronomy degree courses.

Although the activities at Bhatapara had established at Bhatapara in the year 1964-65

All the major activities of Vihwavidyalaya viz. Teaching, Research, Extension and seed production are being carried out at DKSCARS, Bhatapara.

DKS CARS, Bhatapara is having the largest land acreage in Vishwavidyalaya of 684.00 ha, which is distributed in fifteen villages.
